SITE HIRE

forest_edited.png

We hire the whole site out for Weddings, birthday celebrations, special occasions, family or social gatherings, education and small events. Pleases see “Wedding Venue” specific for weddings!

Capacity:

We can have up to around 120-150 adult/children guests on site. It really depends on the number of vehicles and car park capacity.

Site hire includes: 3 nights hire whether mid-week or weekends. Off Peak mid-week can be discussed if you only wish for 1 or 2 nights. Currently, the prices include use of all fixed accommodation and camping pitches. The weekend campsite hire would be from Friday Mid-day until Monday 11am, any flexibility on this can be discussed.

Off peak - week days, and weekends (prior to the June of the year you have enquired about)  (excluding BH weekend’s and school holidays).

Peak Season - weekends in June and July, and an additional cost during all bank holidays or school half-terms and summer-term holidays during peak season.

Any private bookings can book their own caterers, marquee’s etc, should they wish to. There would have to be further discussion if additional electricity/water usage is needed to power catering vehicles etc. Many caterers bring their own generators, but they are a little noisy.

The price of the site hire includes full use of the campsite area and accommodation.

Accommodation includes (currently):

2 Pixie Huts (each sleeping 2 adults and 2 small children)

Suffolk Hay Cart (which has a double mattress bunkbed for 2 adults and 2 children)

2 Furnished Bell Tents in the woodland area

3 Furnished Bell Tents in the main campsite field (All furnished bell tents sleeping 2 adults and up to 4 small children, as there are a limited number of foldout mattresses/camp beds)

We also have 5 pre-pitched 5 metre empty bell tents available that can be booked at an additional cost of £60 per tent for the 3 nights, if so required.

The rest of the site is available for tent and campervan pitches, numbers would have to be discussed and agreed prior to any deposit being taken. We say ‘currently’ because there is maybe additional accommodation and/or slight upgrades to accommodation by 2023, which would be included in the price.

No camping vehicles are allowed in the woodland or glade area but can be pitched in the main field. We have no electric hook ups for pitches at this time.

All of our fixed furnished accommodation options can come with their own basic cooking equipment; plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, single gas stove, saucepan, frying pan etc. The fixed accommodation also has their own picnic table, fire pit, and source of lighting. There is electricity in the two pixie huts and the hay-cart for lights, charging phones etc.

Additional site facilities included:

There is a covered communal kitchen area available with plug sockets for charging phones etc. 4 free gas stoves and an array of shared saucepans, frying pans, utensils etc for camping pitches. There is no oven or communal fridge/freezer.

Additional plug sockets and USB ports are in both the men and women’s toilet and shower block, consisting of 3 toilets and 2 showers in each, hair dryer and hand dryer.

Campfires are allowed but only in our fire pits, which would be provided for free, and logs, charcoal and kindling are available to purchase on site. You can supply your own wood but it has to be dry kilned and laws are changing on coal usage. Due to fire restrictions, we may have to limit the firepits if there are a vast number of tents close together, so this will depend on your set-up and number of people on site.

There is also an eco pizza oven available for use!

Regulations:

We ask that anyone using our campsite adhere to campsite regulations (please see “Site Regulation” for detailed information). We don’t currently have a late licence for music and therefore we would ask that noise is to be kept to a minimum after midnight with no amplified music after this time. Alternatives after this time would be a silent disco or acoustics round a camp fire. We are in the process of getting our own alcohol licence this year so there may be the option of bar hire or supply of alcohol.

Extras:

In addition, we have two stretch tents, a smaller red stretch tent 8m x 13m, a larger white stretch tent 10m x 15m (rigging and festoon lighting is included), plus there is a large gazebo style 6m x 6m red non-waterproof stretch tent. They are versatile and can be pulled to make slightly different shapes, sides down etc. Obviously, this has an impact on how many people you can fit under and the layout etc. Please email us for the cost of one or all three tents should these be required. There would be a discount for all 3 tents. This does not have to be booked at the same time as booking the site hire if you wanted more time to consider your options.

In order to secure any dates we request that you agree to paying a £1000 damage deposit on the day of arrival and to be held by us and refunded to you at the end of your event following inspection of the site and facilities and no damage has been incurred.

If you did want to go ahead, we would ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure the dates with the final 50% to be paid 2 months before the event date.
