Site Codes and Consent

In the interest of everyone's enjoyment, we ask that the following guidelines are respected:

 

  • BBQ's and fire pits are allowed but must be raised off the grass and supervised at all times

  • BBQ's and fire ash must be disposed of in the metal bin provided when cold – do NOT put ash or embers in the bins or on the ground or hedging!

  • No smoking/naked flames near or within any building, tent, gazebo & public areas 

  • Noise levels are to be kept to a minimum before 09:00 and after 22:30 – any amplified music must be off by 22:30

  • Waste water and refuse to be disposed of in the designated areas only! Please recycle!!!!!!!!!!

  • Children under 10 years of age must be supervised by an adult at all times

  • Children playing onsite use at their own risk. Swattesfield Campsite does not accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries. No climbing of trees, hanging ropes from trees or putting up slack lines or hammocks without asking. Any games to be cleared away before dark! 

  • Please refrain from putting up any washing lines or hanging linen on fences or hedges

  • Respect the boundaries of the campsite. Please do not enter any areas that are not open to the campsite and please only use the dedicated Thornham walks during opening hours, or public footpaths and respect the farming land surrounding the campsite (Do not let your children run around in the crops) We would strongly recommend for your own safety that you stick to designated walk ways and not to use the main road when enjoying a stroll or walking your dogs.

  • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, and not to be left unattended at any time

  • All dog waste is to be picked up and disposed of appropriately in the designated waste bins

  • Please observe the 5mph speed limit around the campsite at all times and be aware of children. NO DRIVING ONSITE when dark, leave all vehicles in the car park area. No vehicles beyond the main camping field at any time!

  • Please behave in a considerate manner and respect our staff and all other campers

  • Do not use the campsite for anti-social or criminal activity and refrain from using foul language

  • Do NOT glean any wood from the hedges, trees or woodland onsite & only burn dry kilned wood.

  • Please clear up all rubbish and recycle in the bins provided in the car park area!


 

Fire Safety
 

  • Raise the alarm, go directly to the campsite reception or any staff available and ask them to call the Fire Service or call 999 in an emergency

  • If it is safe to do so, use the fire equipment provided. Fire stations are situated throughout the campsite, please familiarise yourself with these points on arrival to the campsite

  • Do not re-enter any building or shelter until the site or area is safe to do so

  • In any emergency and the reception is not open, please seek help from a staff member or in their absence please call the site phone number or 999

  • In the event of a fire and an alarm is sounded please make your way to the designated fire meeting point which is situated in the car park at main gate at the entrance to the site

 

We reserve the right.....
 

  • To refuse admission to the campsite and all facilities

  • To remove any person and/or property that in our opinion is not suitable to use the campsite, or whose behaviour we consider to be detrimental to the interests of our other guests

  • To alter, postpone or cancel any facility for reasons beyond our control, we can only guarantee to do our best to see that our facilities are available as advertised

 

The campsite and all facilities are used entirely at the guests' own risk. Swattesfield Campsite does not accept liability in respect of any person or property.   

 

Continuing with your booking confirms you have read our Site Codes and that you have shared this with all members of your booking

 

There are strict arrival and departure times, check out by 11am and no arrivals before 2pm and after 8pm, unless previously agreed. On check out you will return your kitchen box (if you were given one). Damages and losses will be charged. If you need additional plates cups cutlery, you can request this on arrival at no additional cost. We ask that you clean all utensils etc. but between each booking, items will also be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised by us on site. 
 

The communal outdoor washing up sink area is available for use but please remain mindful of social distancing and do not leave any items in the washing up area. If items left unattended in the sink area they will be removed and disposed of.
